Matthew Collar and Dane Mizatani here with you for the Minnesota Vikings post game show.

And folks, the season is over.

And what a journey that it was only to be incredibly disappointed, which, yes, a lot of

you predicted along the way.

And so you were correct.

That is exactly the way that the Vikings ended this with a massive

disappointment and a complete no-show here in the desert. So I want to start off by saying

this that if you go back to a couple of weeks ago, we're talking about after the Green Bay Packers

game, the Vikings are for real. You should believe in them. They are an impressive

football team with maybe a guy who might end up being your future quarterback. But here was the caveat

along the way. And as we've talked about this thing over the last couple of weeks about Sam Darnold

and the future of the quarterback position, there was always one thing

that we added in to every discussion, which was, look, the playoffs can change everything.

Now, I don't know if the playoffs have changed everything. I know that a lot of you have

decided that they have. And listening to Kevin O'Connell tonight, I didn't really get any hints one way or another,

whether the Vikings are considering bringing back Sam Darnold for next year,

whether that ship sailed right off into the desert here this evening with one of the worst performances

you're ever going to see in the playoffs by Mr.

Darnold and then added that with what happened last week. But I can't say that as more

information comes in, opinions change. That happens with us. That happens with the Minnesota Vikings,

their decision makers. And I don't know anybody who's going to get on a plane and head back to Minnesota, feeling really good about the idea of Sam Darnold as a quarterback who could take them deep into the playoffs after what happened here.
