The bathroom tile was cold under Lucy's bare feet as she peered into the medicine cabinet mirror, partially reconsidering the decision she'd made the day before.

She read her fingers through her shaggy pixie cut, Mary a hair pointing in the same direction.

The stylist had cut a full 16 inches of pristine, dark blonde locks for donation to charity, and Lucy could not be happier with her new, carefree, playful style.

It was the decision to bleach and then change her color to a vibrant aqua blue that had her second guessing herself.

She loved the color, and was fortunate that her employer did not place any limitations on self-expression.

So long as she wore black jeans with no holes in them and the company provided t-shirt, the owners of the sacred bean knew that an interesting and confident wait staff would only make the coffee drinking experience more memorable for their patrons.
