a city in the early 20th century. Between 1918 and 1919, the Axeman struck fear into the

hearts of the Crescent City's residence.

Under the cover of night, he would break into homes, leaving his victims brutally murdered,

often using the homeowner's own tools, especially an axe.

Despite the panic and desperate investigations, he was never caught,

vanishing as mysteriously as he had appeared.

The killer would kill six and leave six injured.

His cryptic letter taunted the public, even claiming a taste for jazz,

and turning the vibrant musical pulse of New Orleans into the soundtrack of a killer's spree.
