On Todays dark Enigma we will be looking into ancient myths and legends of mysterious underground cities filled with secret chambers, passages, shrines and tombs. But before we jump into today’s story we have a little business to take care of, that’s right, our drinking game. So for today I’m feeling very Greek, so how about we do shots of Ouzo or even Sambuco? Whatever, you guys pick what you want. As for the game part, every time I say underground that will be a single shot and every time I say secret that will be a double shot. As always, the drinking game is only for those of you that are at home and have nowhere else to go this evening. And as always, make sure you drink responsibly. Alright, now that we have that bit of business out of the way, we can now jump headlong into today’s topic. Underground cities of the world.

Ancient myths and legends tell of several mysterious underground cities filled with secret chambers, passages shrines and tombs. Many of these remarkable underground worlds remain shrouded in mystery because we have not been able to locate them yet. There are also fascinating very old underground tunnels, caves and cities that have been discovered, but the history behind them remains unsolved because we have no idea who built them and for what purposes.

Some of them are real. Some haven't been found yet and perhaps some are never meant to be located… but each has a story to tell us and we’re going to touch on each of them briefly. Now, the ones I’m covering are not by any means the only underground cities because as you know, we’ve only found about 10 percent of all the ancient civilizations on this planet, so there is so much more for us to learn out there, so take this episode as a jumping off point. And we’re going to start with one of my favorite civilizations, Egypt!
