0:33.1	and learn how it points forward to Jesus story, but with a key difference.
0:38.8	Alistair Begg is continuing a study in 2nd Samuel chapter 15,
0:42.8	but he begins today with two readings to set the stage.
0:51.8	I'd like to read two passages of scripture, first of all, the third Sam, and then from
0:59.0	the Gospel of Mark and chapter 14. Sam 3, a Sam of David when he fled from Absalom, his son.
1:14.0	O Lord, how many are my foes?
1:18.3	Many are rising against me.
1:21.2	Many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God.
1:32.2	But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill.
1:39.4	I lay down and slept. I woke again, for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of many
1:47.7	thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O Lord, save me,
1:55.1	O my God. For you strike all my enemies on the cheek. You break the teeth of the wicked.
2:02.8	Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing be upon your people.
2:10.2	And then in Mark chapter 14 and verse 22, and as they were eating, he took bread,
2:16.5	and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them and said,
2:19.6	Take, this is my body. And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them,
2:25.2	and they all drank of it. And he said to them, this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.
2:32.1	Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the
2:35.8	vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God. And when they had sung a hymn,
2:43.6	they went out to the Mount of Olives. And Jesus said to them, you will all fall away,
