Drug addict, homeless, sex worker, near-death experiences, spiritual awakenings, speaking to God.

Like, sort of a mad... But you're looking great, you're speaking great mad but you're looking great you're speaking great

and you're doing great things so first of all amazing and well done but before we get into all the

madness I always like to go back to the start of my guests to get more of a bit of understanding

about you betty where you grew up how it all began yeah so origin story is, I grew up in a family of addicts.

So I'm the daughter of addicts, my parents are the children of addicts, their parents are the children of addicts,

grew up in a lot of poverty.

I grew up on the, I was born in Brooklyn, and we moved across the country at some point, like in my early teens.

My dad was, like, avoiding the law.

He was, like, escaping a warrant.

So we thought we've moved across the country.

That would be far enough away.

And I watched my parents.

Their drug addiction was just so bad.
