Hey moms, this is Heidi St. John, and you have found the Busy Mom podcast. I am here

today with my friend, Derinda Wilson, and we are going to be talking for the next couple

of episodes about discipline, about child training, child discipline. You know, I spoke

about this topic recently, and I used the word child training and a very offended mother

approached me afterward and said, you use the word training as if they were a dog. And

children are not dogs. And I was like, all right. So I see we have a little cultural

explaining to do like about the vernacular, you know, the context in which we will use

the word training because I'm sure we'll use it today. The Bible actually says, train

up a child in the way he should go. And when he is old, he won't apart from it. For

those of you who have never heard me speak before, I do it all around the country. And this
