And you were aware? I was a, I just finished freshman year at Colorado State University.

Okay, so we met in 2011. He's teaching totus to us. I'm a new priest. That was 15 years we've known each other. Fast forward. You started seminary when? 2013. Okay, two years later. Yep. And then

was ordained? 2020. Okay. And instead of me asking you questions that I already know,

So Cradle Catholic family, growing up, never wanted to be a priest.

Really afraid of loneliness in the priesthood.

And all that came to a halt in the summer of 2011 when I met Father

John. And long story short, Father John ended up carrying me down a mountain on his back for four

hours. And I had been hit by a boulder. We were climbing a 14

and were going to celebrate Mass. We couldn't celebrate mass at the top. And while I was on his back,

Jesus just gave me all these desires towards the priesthood. I remember you asking me, like,

when the boulder had hit, and we were thinking of calling

a flight for life.

You said, do you trust me?

And I was like, sure, Father John, I trust you.

And then you looked at me again, and you said, do you really trust me?

And it was as of Jesus Christ himself was asking that question.

So I said yes to him, yes to you.

You carried me down the mountain, and Jesus really spoke into those fears
