Summary

When five college students in Florida were brutally slain in a four-day span in 1990, it sent shockwaves across the nation as newscasters made comparisons to serial killer Ted Bundy. Police frantically worked to stop this new madman before his body count got any higher.

Crystal Hoyt wasn't the type to simply not show up for work.

She was far too reliable and responsible for that.

Those are the traits that had helped land her the job as a clerk with Alachua County

So when she didn't report for a midnight shift on a Saturday in 1990, her bosses wasted

A sheriff's deputy was sent to her apartment to check on her at about 12.30 a.m.

I started to become alarm that something wasn't right.

As O'Hara approached, he noticed that a sliding glass door leading into Crystal's apartment
