Hey everyone, it's Jenny Rattelet, producer of the treatment. We've got another bonus episode for you this week with Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle, whose latest film is Trance, starring Vincent Casell, Rosario Dawson, and James McAvoy.

McAvoy plays an art auctioneer who gets caught in the middle of a heist gone wrong, leaving him unconscious. In order to help

retrieve his memory of the crime, he seeks out a hypnotherapist, played by Dawson. Boyle shot the

film during a sabbatical from the two-year job of producing the opening ceremonies for the

London Olympics. Danny Boyle joined Elvis in front of a live audience following a screening of

trance. Thanks to Film Independent at Lacma film series, which Elvis curates, for letting us record

the interview. Thank you very much. Wow. That's a lot of people. A lot of people liking the

movie, which is a good thing for you.

One of the things I've seen to you backstage is that it's sort of based on reality. I mean, that first painting that he's discussing is from a famous painting, rather a famous

group of thefts in Boston in 1990.

In fact, all the paintings in the movie are paintings that actually have been stolen.

Yes, they are. I think it's the Isabel Stewart Museum.

We did a lot of research on stolen paintings.

It is riveting stuff because it's a bit of a myth that they're in the lair of some tycoon.
