What makes Adam Silver such an effective commissioner, in your opinion?

Well, Adam's been doing it a long time, you know, with David Stern, and they were very

fortunate, I think, the league and how it developed.

And I think they're fortunate to have stars like Larry Bird, who, by the way, it's his birthday today.

And Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan sort of jumpstart the whole new era of the NBA and the interest of the people around. I was a kid coming out, and I played baseball and basketball,

and I always liked baseball more.

I didn't really like the NBA from a fan standpoint.

But, you know, the NBA has really taken off.
