to private buyers in Denmark. EVs are rapidly reshaping Denmark's automotive landscape.

In the first half of the year, now we're starting to get all of those bitter data in for the

first half of the year. Let's go to Denmark. Total new passenger car sales are about 90,000,

up about 4%. So the car market's in good health. Fully electric vehicles of those were 57,000.

That's up 47% year on year, same time 2024 compared to the first six months of this year.

EV market share surged from 45% last year to 63.8% in the

first half of the year. Look at that Denmark, not the biggest car market in the world,

but well and truly over the halfway point. In fact, doing really well. The 63.8% share in the first half of the year,

not just cherry-picking certain months, makes it a standout performer. And guess who's leading the

shift? Private buyers. That's not the case in many countries here in the United Kingdom. We're

very heavy in terms of fleet buyers and company cars. Germany is pretty heavy on fleet

with EVs, particularly Denmark though, those private retail, call them if you want like that,

Danish customers, 80% of new private registrations are electric from January to June. And if you want to

pick June's numbers, because that shows the direction of travel, 86% of all private car sales in the month of June were electric.

I mean, that's pretty much the whole market, right?
