That song's called Lonely People by America. And it's one of the greatest contemporary Christian

songs that I know of. It's written by Dan Peek, who later produced the Christian band,

Charles of Clay, and the line right that highway in the sky was later changed to give

your heart to Jesus Christ. Once you realize this is a Christian song, it starts making a lot

more sense because I don't know what a highway in the sky is. I have no idea what a silver cup is.

How are you telling Lonely People to drink from a silver cup and then go what, fly in a spaceship?

It's confusing. It doesn't make sense. But when you realize that he's using one of the

classic symbol from Christianity, which is a cup. And there's a lot of you could argue

what this cup he's talking about is a silver cup. Is he talking about the grail?

The holy grail? Is he talking about the communion? Is he talking about drinking the blood of Jesus Christ?

Or is it a little more sinister? And is he talking about that famous scene in the Garden of

Gesephemy where Jesus Christ decided that he didn't want to get crucified after all?
