I'm Jeff Kinley, and my good buddy Todd Hampson is alongside with me.

And we want to jump right into this topic here because we're going to do a series called Daniel in the Last Days.

Yeah. He's called Daniel in the Last Days. We've got a lot of questions from you guys about the book of Daniel, and people have called

Daniel like the Revelation of the Old Testament.

It's like the Old Testament apocalypse almost.

There's so much in there, not just about the end times, but about Daniel and the Jewish people.

But before we do that, I mean, there's a good reason why we should study this, but we need to know a little bit about the background of this book.

And so Todd, you know, a lot of people out there probably don't realize just where was Daniel?

When did all this take place?

Why was it written?

So maybe just a little thumbnail sketch on the book of Daniel and kind of get us kicked off here.

That's a great idea.

Yeah, we'll give some of the key background info to the book of Daniel just to give a frame of reference.

And then through the whole

series we'll relate you know we'll talk about the prophecies in the book of Daniel but also the life

of Daniel and how it relates today as well so I think you guys are going to really enjoy this

series that we're doing on the book of Daniel that'll be somewhat chronological and we'll be bouncing

around but but yeah just to talk about some of the basics of Daniel,

Dana was one of the major prophets, meaning his book was one of the larger books in the Old

Testament. The minor prophets just means their books were smaller, not that they were shorter or they

were less important. Under 18. Yeah. But Daniel comes on the heels of, he was a contemporary of Jeremiah, but kind of towards
