Summary

In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Daniel shares his story of going no contact with his physically abusive father, his mother, and his sisters. After 35 years, Daniel realized that his upbringing wasn't normal and was brave enough to question his dad. The response by Daniel's dad was to minimize his experience, which put Daniel into a psych ward as he couldn't process the reality he was confronting. This conversation takes place eight weeks after that conversation. 1:26.1	going to hear Daniel's story and Daniel endured physical and emotional
1:29.8	abuse for his whole life, but thought it was normal.
1:33.0	And when he recently realized that it was not everything came crashing down pretty quickly.
1:39.5	And sometimes it takes a long time to understand the abuse that you've gone through
1:43.3	and find your way through it.
1:45.6	But Daniel's brain and body did not let him do that.
1:49.7	And things stopped abruptly.
