I'm your host, or co-host anyway, Lamar, and I have with me, Carrie Mulesstein.

And we also have a special guest here today.

And I could not be happy about this.

This was my special request to have this gentleman with us.

This is Dr. Daniel Peterson.

You've probably read some of his books, so any of you that have been following anything in Desiret Book, he's probably there on some shelf somewhere.

And I've wanted to talk to him for a long time.

I got his address here called Understanding Islam back in 2002 when it first came out.

I had friends that were working at Deseret Book.

And they lent that to me.

And at the time, I was doing a lot of driving in green cities for work.

And I listened to that.

And I was like, man, if people could just get a hold of Dr. Peterson's book or this audio program,

they would understand so much more about Islam and why we were having so many problems.

Remember, 2002, this is just after 2001, which was the attacks in 9-11 in September.

And so this was very new.

And I was like, I wish that he would go and keep the LDS version, which is great.

I wished also that he would have taken another one and take out LDS references

so that the Congress could understand it. And I wanted to send it to every member of Congress just

so that they could get an idea of what's going on. So anyway, if I'm not being too effusive here

and gushing, this has been my request. When I was Carrie and I were talking about different topics to go over.
