I think the problem that exists in society is that people associate kindness with weakness.

And the reason that happens Alan is that people confuse kindness with being nice.

Now you can be nice and be passive, but if you're kind, it requires a normal amount of strength.

It requires the strength of a protagonist.

And kindness also requires a normal amount of honesty.

A nice person might not give you feedback because it's not nice to tell you that you have

something between your tooth or that you did something wrong.

A kind person has the courage to tell you you have something between your teeth.

That's Daniel Lubetski.

He founded the multi-billion dollar company that makes the nutrition bar kind.

The name kind was inspired by his father.

His father was a Holocaust survivor.

But the word kind is also the driving force behind a national project called Starts With Us.

It's founded on the idea that being kind, especially in today's fractured society, requires

three things, curiosity, compassion, and courage.
