Now it please derive us to set over the kingdom 120 princes which should be over the whole kingdom now that the Persian meto-persion empire has conquered over the Babylonian Empire.

Darius, who was co-reining with Cyrus,

set over the kingdom 120 princes and there were three presidents of whom Daniel was the first,

that the princes might give accounts unto them and the king should have no damage. So Daniel

immediately moved into a position of extremely high authority within this

mead Persian Empire being made one of the three presidents in the head over them.

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes because an excellent spirit was in him and the

king thought to set him over the entire realm.

But then the other presidents and the princes sought to find an occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom, but they could find no occasions nor faults for as much as he was faithful.

Neither was there any error or fault found in him.
