Have you heard the phrase, the riding is on the wall, meaning something is coming that can't be stopped?

Did you realize this expression has roots in the book of Daniel?

We're in the book of Daniel, chapter 5 at one of the most memorable scenes in the Old

Testament at a banquet with the arrogant old King Belchazar. Everything is fine and

then out of thin air the hand of God appears and writes on the wall and nobody understands the message.

So they call Daniel and once again Daniel puts his life on the line by doing what he always did.

He entrusted his life to God and stood for the truth.

Daniel played a unique role for God in his generation.

From his youth to old age, he loved God, obeyed God, and stood for God,

in spite of really hard circumstances.

You know God has his hand on people like Daniel in every generation.

Like many of you who study with us each day.

To celebrate his hand in our lives, let's read a few letters from our fellow passengers
