How do you know the Bible is the Word of God?

If asked, how would you prove it's true?

Welcome to Through the Bible. Our teacher, Dr. J. Vernon McGee, was no stranger to questions regarding the validity of the Bible.

One of his most frequent answers was this. If I were asked for just one conclusive piece of proof that the Bible is the word of God, I would suggest, fulfilled

prophecy. It's the one proof that you can't escape, you can't get around it. And the Bible is

full of fulfilled prophecy. Well, with that answer in mind, open to Daniel chapter 11 where

we'll find a great example. Dr. McGee even calls it a miraculous example of fulfilled prophecy. You know, it's

amazing to see how God's at work in history and our lives. So while you're finding your place in

God's word, Greg Harris and I have got an update on through the Bible's home group, such an

exciting ministry, something that God is very clearly using to bring people to himself and grow them up

in Christ. Isn't that right, Greg?

It is, Steve. In fact, I just got back from Ethiopia and saw you did training in March of

2024 and within just a few months we have over 2,000 groups. So my head is brimming with

home group testimonies. Now, today, we're going to focus on some great

responses from India in the Bengali language where it all started. Yeah, yeah. Here's the first one.

It says, I am a leader of our home group. I am listening to the Word of God from the media kits every day.

Now, he's referencing a kit. We're very systematic in the way that we

roll out these home groups and the leaders get kits and instruction along with a radio player.

because a lot of times typically 30 to 40 percent of the people in these groups are not professing Christians.
