Welcome, welcome to Sizzy Larson Live. Always honored to get to spend this time with you. In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk, that deep in your understanding of God's Word and that heightens your awareness of his

variable presence in your life. So here's a question. What does it mean to grow in your faith?

What does that look like? Does it mean that we do more? Does it mean that we experience more

success in ministry? Maybe, maybe not. When Jesus takes up residence in our soul, he changes us from the inside

out. And suddenly our taste change. Our perspective is renewed. And as the Holy Spirit does a transformative

work in our lives, our capacities do change and increase. But we're not what we do. We're someone

God loves. So growth really isn't about what we do and even what we produce.

It really is about abiding in the vine, being much with Jesus. Jesus said, it's to my father's

glory that you bear much fruit. Sometimes we mistake the more for results. And, you know, there are

plenty of successful profess believers that aren't changing inwardly at all.

It's all about them and all about their territory, their kingdom.

They're striving in their own strength.

So is the call to do more?

Not always, no, unless God's asking you to.

I'd say the call is to grow deeper.

He joins me again today. This time we're talking about his newest book, Deeper, Real Change for Real Sinners.

I had him on before when we talked about his book, Gentle and Lowly, and it just was one of those books that took my breath away.

His writing is just brilliant, and its content is so rich.
