Summary
(00:00-27:13) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Friday with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook discussing the news of some NFL players being suspended for gambling and try to decipher why some players were suspended six games compared to some suspended for a whole season. Then they transition into what Dillon Brooks said after game two between the Lakers/Grizzlies about LeBron James.
(27:13-41:31) – Earlier today a long-time NFL player that Colts fans watched face them twice a year released a mock draft today. Brian and Jimmy react to the mock draft from NFL Network analyst Maurice Jones-Drew.
(41:31-46:05) – Hour one concludes with Brian highlighting an article that listed some of the biggest NFL Draft busts of all time. Jimmy and Brian share their opinions on some of the biggest busts in their eyes in addition to criticizing one player on the list.
(46:05-1:12:28) – The Athletic’s Dane Brugler joins Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook on the Fan Midday Show to break down what he is hearing regarding where the Indianapolis Colts are leaning with their first overall selection, why it seems that fans are so anti-Levis without acknowledging the traits he has, how much value NFL teams put in the S2 test, and if it would be more important to surround C.J. Stroud or Will Levis with more talent.
(1:12:28-1:28:02) – Brian and Jimmy highlight some of the points that Brugler made regarding C.J. Stroud and Will Levis. They continue the debate on the success of each prospect if their situations were switched. Additionally, they throw in Anthony Richardson to the conversation because Jimmy still wants the former Florida QB over the Kentucky product.
(1:28:02-1:33:46) – The one o’clock hour concludes with producer Eddie Garrison playing some Johnny Cash on the re-entry music that distracts Brian from talking about Bryce Young.
(1:33:47-2:04:29) – One half of Kevin & Query in Kevin Bowen joins the Fan Midday Show to dissect what Chris Ballard said today during his pre-draft press conference, one thing that stood out to KB when it comes to a comment that Ballard made halfway through the press conference, and if Ballard’s comment about 17 first round grades is an indication they could trade back from four.
(2:04:29-2:16:30) – Brian and Jimmy revisit the conversation they had to conclude the one o’clock hour where Brian asked Jimmy for how many teams don’t have a chance to win a Super Bowl in the next three years. Brian’s list is significantly different than Jimmy’s, which leads to them ultimately coming away with a bet.
(2:16:30-2:21:36) – The final segment of the show is spent with Brian and Jimmy discussing a poll where players voted who the most overrated and underrated players are in the NBA. Additionally, which players they don’t want to fight in the NBA. Finally, Jimmy shares his JCook Plays of the Day!
