Opinion on Dexter Lawrence.

If J.J. McCarthy last year was a top 12 quarterback,

oh yeah, go make that thing happen. Because you'll figure out the rest later because you're

going to have a lot of cap space. You don't know into the future if you're going to have to pay

Kyler Murray $40 million a year plus. If you do, then you have to be much more delicate about how you

handle the future cap. The other side of that is that you sort of have it still. You basically

have the rookie quarterback contract advantage because you don't have to pay Kyler Murray anything

for this year and this year only.

I think that would be the other side of the argument is, well, you only get this for right now

unless you are bad and then you're drafting a quarterback next year and then you get it into the future.

So there's only really one scenario where this is a problem, which is if you're awesome,

if Kyler Murray's awesome, and which means

you're competing very seriously for the division, which might mean it's worth it. So,

maybe this is just me watching Dexter Lawrence annihilate the Minnesota Vikings several times

or like, maybe just find a way to do it or watching Kyler Murray tape for the last, I don't know, two months as we talked about

the quarterback decision and being sold on the idea that he's going to throw so many passes

to Justin Jefferson and everyone's going to enjoy watching Jefferson play football again

this year.
