and we are thrilled to be talking to Dane Bruegler of the Athletic, their NFL draft staff

writer and the author of The Beast, which is the most comprehensive draft guide that gets published out there.

So, Dane, thank you so much for joining us. We use The Beast like it's our Bible around the draft

and reference it often. So thank you so much. Thank you for all your work that you do. And

thanks for taking the time to join us here in the lounge no my pleasure that's that's awesome to

hear uh it's always it's equal parts excitement and anxiety when uh you know you release that thing

because you've been working on it for the last year and so a lot goes into it um a lot of good

people behind the scenes that help dress it up and make it look, make it look great on the website,

the digital version. And so very, very happy with the way this year's beast turned out. And so

it's been great to hear all the feedback. Well, and the other interesting part here is as soon

as you publish the beast, you start working on a full seven round mock draft so the work doesn't end and in your latest version of that which was

released this morning here on wednesday morning you have the raven selecting kenyon sedique

the tight end out of organ so let's start there what made sidq the pick for the Ravens for you? Yeah, I think

it's just they're obviously in an interesting spot where, you know, you're starting a new era

with a with a new head coach and different areas you could address this team. You know,

adding Trey Hendrickson helps your edge rush group, but I don't think they're done there.

You know, you could still add another edge rusher.

I think that the Venga Yawane, the guard, has been a popular mock selection for the Ravens at 14 and with good reason.

I think it's, you know, it feels boring at this point, but it's because it makes so much

sense to just plug him in and let him be a cornerstone of that offensive line moving

forward.
