This is a very special edition.

I am starting a new series within our, leave it on the dance floor podcast called

Dance Diaries. This is an in-depth look at my childhood, my diary, what I wrote about, growing up,

becoming a dance teacher, all the stories that you like to hear.

The real truth of the matter, yes.

And these are poignant memories, some blessings, some amazing moments, some takeaways, things I learned, and things I learned not to do.

Yes, my mom was big on that.

Sometimes you go to a dance class and it's not what you learn, but it's what you learn not

to do.

So I hope you enjoy this series Dance Diaries. Tell your friends, tell your moms, tell everybody

that I am bearing my soul and I'm going to tell you all about growing up in the dance world.

Nearly four decades, my life has been dedicated to dance, dedicated to teaching children,

and dedicated to getting children out of Pittsburgh to see the world. I did it. I think I've succeeded. But there's a lot of uphills and downhills along the way.

Remember, I lived in Penn Hills, and there was North Hills and South Hills, East Hills, lots of

hills in Pittsburgh. And I was at the top.

I was at the bottom.
