Hello, super great kids. How are you? I hope you had a gentle week, maybe with one or two pancakes in it.

It was Shrove Tuesday this week, which most people call pancake day,

when lots of people eat pancakes.

In some parts of the world, it's called Mardi Gras, which means Fat Tuesday in French.

I remember my mum tossing a pancake so high once that it's stuck to the kitchen ceiling. Oops! I can't remember if we ate it after it was rescued. I think we probably did.

Our current story theme is Animal Stories and this week's story comes from Kenya in East Africa,

but it's not about pancakes, it's about cows.

And it's a chain story where every character adds a little bit to the tale.

the old woman and the pig. Yes, it's a bit like that. Only instead of wanting a pig to get

over the style, in this story, they want a young man to find some stolen cows. The story is told by Wangari Grace from Kenya.

Kenya is a stunning country with a coastline on the Indian Ocean and mountains and a huge valley

And it's the very first country that I visited in Africa.
