I love it, you know, it's national TV, so regardless of the body hurt a little bit, but you

got a lot more eyes on you so you can show what you can do, so I just think it's a great

opportunity to mind over matter, I'm just like bump, bump everything, but my body actually

feels pretty good, so I'm locked and loaded ready to go, you know, if we had to go right

now, me and you, you know, I like me, it wouldn't end well.

Broken Smith Bears linebacker, you know, echoing something that when Thursday night football

first became a weekly event, you had about half the players that hated it and the other half

that sounded a lot like him, you get an easy week before the game of practice, you get a mini

buy on the back end, you get a national audience and for the bears, that's not a common occurrence,

so glass half full, there are guys out there that like it for all the debate and discussion about

whether or not it makes sense to do it, and for plenty of guys, it doesn't, especially if you're

banged up coming out of Sunday, Chris, there are guys out there that like it, you have to take that

into account. No, I know, definitely, you know, I think, you know, there are those guys that that

thrive wanting to play in that, you know, under the lights condition, right, where it's just

you're under the big spotlights, I think there are guys that certainly thrive in that and they love

that, you know, I do think, yeah, there's a considerable amount of the locker room,

you know, it's even the ones that love Thursday night, they might, you know, oh man, gosh,

we got to play in a day or two, but it's still for the most part, I think guys enjoy being the big

game of the night or anything of that matter, I do think that's very real. And added to that,

I think the coaches love it, the coaches love it more than anybody, of course, they don't have to go

out there and hit people and do that, but the fact that they get a little, you know, like you said,

de facto bi-week after this, it gives them a little energy during a week like this too, but hey,
