Over the course of the preseason, I will. I'm not sure how much Trey Flowers is going to play. So that, and we'll see how the preseason progresses and who emerges. and then maybe if we can lop onto that player that emerges,

Well, tonight, what big deal about tonight? No one's playing tonight, right, Dan? There's not a lot of starters. Yeah, I would think if they do anything, they maybe play a series, but that's about it. You know, and the reason why is the joint practices, Brady and the offense got so many reps, especially on Tuesday when, you know, Brady threw like six touchdown passes to Gronk. So I don't think there's much of a need for them to play. And this is now where everybody wants to see Jimmy Garapolo and Jacoby Brissette. They'll both play a lot tonight. So, you know, looking forward to that. All right. See, with all the backups playing, you mentioned Garapolo and Brissette. Those are two guys to watch. But on the defensive side, I keep reading about guys like Adam Butler and Harvey Longhi. We talked about Longi off the air when you were here earlier this week. These are two guys are some good stories. Yeah, you know, the one need, the glaring need on defense that you look at is who replaces now Rob Binkovich retired, who replaces Chris Long, Jabal Sheard coming off the edge to pressure the quarterback. And those are some of the candidates, those are some of the names that you're going to start to see beginning tonight. Dietrich Wise, the rookie out of Arkansas and Trey Flowers was from Arkansas, so a lot of things. And when you see this kid, he's a specimen. I think he's like 6'5. He's a huge wingspan.

I think he's like 6'5, has a huge wingspan. He's a guy to watch, you know, like you mentioned, Longie, the kid out of BYU. A lot of people liked him and what he could possibly do. So those are the names that are starting to emerge, and we'll see who. And the one thing I always say to people is that people say, well, I should watch the preseason.

You know, Malcolm Butler came out of camp a couple years ago and was a Super Bowl here with David Andrews, starting center, Landon Roberts last year, Trey Flowers. So you see these guys emerge, pay attention, and somebody

always does under Bill Belichick, so it starts tonight.

All right, Dan, one other thing I wanted to discuss real quick is about a surprise cut, and there

always seems to be one, and we've all been talking about what that might be.

And you mentioned Ninkovich's retirement.

Connie Ely is a guy that the Patriots acquired to basically do what Ninkovich does. And with Ninkovich not there, you would think he would kind of seize the opportunity. But he hasn't, from what I've been reading in camp. And he's running with the twos and the threes. I find that very strange. And maybe he's the guy. Yeah, he could be a possibility, John. And that's the guy I'm curious to see play because, remember, he could have been a Super Bowl MVP a couple of years ago for Carolina in that Denver game because, you know, we had, what, an interception and three sacks in that Super Bowl. And a lot of hype when he came here in a good trade for the past. But starting in training camp, he started with the first teamers and it has dropped down. You know, Dietrich Wise, the rookie has stepped into his spot. So watch him. And yeah, he could be one of those surprise cuts. And, you know, maybe because, again, one of the things these guys need to do is buy in to the Belichick Patriots system. and if he fights it at all or if they fight it at all, sometimes it doesn't work out. We've seen that with veterans in the past, and maybe he's one of those guys. But yeah, there's always seems to be a surprise cut when it comes to a Bill Belichick training camp, and nothing would surprise me at the end. Remember, there's only one cut this year. That's new for the first time, not after their third game. When they usually got out of 75, it'll be after the fourth game when they go from 90 down to 53. So that's something to watch too. Are you nervous? No, I'm looking forward to see what Sarah says about Felga more than anything, Fred. Are you in Foxborough right now, Roche? No, hang on a second.
