between you and a person who lived, died, and suffered a long time ago.

This is us still. lived, died, and suffered a long time ago.

When you are the bad guys, nobody wants to hear that you suffered

or what you went through.

But these are people that could be us.

But because of an accident of birth, a time and a place.

They're trapped in the years of history.

My mother-in-law was the one who said,

you could talk about history.

I said, I can't do that.

I said, I'm not qualified. She said, I can't do that. I said, I'm not qualified.

She said, I didn't know you had to be qualified to tell stories.

So we created a show and it was the very month that iTunes started supporting podcasts.

I'm not a broadcaster, I'm a narrowcaster.

I appeal to a very specific small slice of the overall pie.

The time when I was a kid in the 1970s is probably the high watermark of American freedom.

I don't think you can have a decent political discussion right now in the United States.
