Welcome everybody to Trail Tales. My name is Kyle O'Grady. I am a through hiker. I am a backpacker. I am a huge

hiking nerd. And every single week on this podcast, I chat with other hiking nerds about their

experiences on the trail. And Dan Becker, the man himself is on the show this week.

I said it a few times, but I'll say it again.

This one's been a long time coming.

Obviously, well, I shouldn't say obviously.

But if you've seen my YouTube channel before,

you'll know about the history that Dan Becker and I have together

with all the jokes and goofs and gags.

I used to make at his expense in my

videos. It was a core part of, which sounds so stupid to say, but it was really a core part

of my channel for a long time. And even now, I'll still make some jokes every now and again about

him. And so, I mean, it's about time. We got him on the show. He's been requested a bunch over the last few years, and we finally made it happen, and it was such a fun conversation. Dan really kind of takes on some of the, I don't even know how to say this, some of the criticism, I guess, but just some of the crap that's been talked about him over the years

we talk about that we talk about some YouTube stuff of course some of the history that we

have together and at the end he shares a pretty crazy story that happened to him that I

don't think he's really ever talked about on this channel before. And so it was awesome.

I'm so grateful that he was willing to take the time.
