And good evening. I'm Aaron Burnett. Out front tonight, the breaking news. Damning new details about a phone

call between Donald Trump and the House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the breaking news. Damning new details about a phone call between Donald Trump

and the House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the top Republican in the House. This information is coming

on the eve of the crucial vote, the closing arguments in Trump's second impeachment trial.

Here is what we're learning. Our Jamie Gangel is reporting that McCarthy was on the phone

with Trump during the insurrection.

He was pleading with him to call off the rioters, pleading with him to do so.

Trump tells McCarthy, and I quote, quote, well, Kevin, I guess these people are more upset about

the election than you are. That's what the President of the United States said.

McCarthy responds, who the F do you think you're talking to? This exchange, according to sources,

set off as what has been described as a shouting match between the two men. And all these sources

are Republicans. According to Republican members of Congress, the phone call showed that Trump

had no intention of calling off the rioters and that it essentially amounted to a dereliction of his presidential duty.
