It's an emergency pod because, you know, somebody got traded. A guy we've been talking

about nonstop, I don't know, feels like three months now. I'm Dave DeFord, joined by the Athletics,

Milwaukee Bucks beat reporter Eric Name. The only guy I could really reach out to to give me

the inside scoop on this,

Damien Lillard is now a Milwaukee buck.

Where did this come from, Eric?

I mean, this is just, you know, I think in many ways the way John Horst likes to do business.

You know, I was thinking back to 2020 when they traded for Drew Holiday. And there were

rumors that, you know, the Pelicans might trade Drew. And, you know, there's conversations about,

you know, what team could he go to? Like, I think that was pre big three nets. So I was like,

oh, maybe the nets will make a deal and, and do some of these things. And then all of a sudden,

oh, he's going to the Milwaukee Bucks it's just like oh okay sure let's do let's do that and this is you know for the

most part horse doesn't really like to try to telegraph any of his moves uh in this with a situation

where obviously you and i have spent months talking about this. And we don't even

talk that often. You and I have spent months on this podcast talking about, you know,

Lillard to the Heat or the Raptors or wherever. And, you know, like we kind of talk through this.

And then just at the end, you know, you see John Horace swo swoop in and it's, it's kind of a really gutsy move.
