Yes, we'll be talking about.

That was when it was given the Operation Name, Code Name, Chastise.

And a great deal of the dams raid has the legacy of being ordered the day before.

It's been incredibly last minute and that's the whole, I mean, even from the moment of being greenlit,

it's only got ten weeks, something like that, which is just nothing in which to form a squadron train it,

get it ready for doing something which is completely different to what those crews have been doing up to that point.

Because one has to remember that in bomber command, you're flying, you're taking off in a bomber stream which is not information.

So basically your squadron from whatever airfield you might be from, you'd fly off into the darkness.

And you would have your route that you've got to go on and everyone would basically go on that route.

And you'd hope you'd bump into one another and you get to castle or Dortmund or Bremen or wherever you're going to.

You look for the flares, which are the markers, and then you drop your bombs and then you go home again.

And you're doing that somewhere between 18,000, 24,000 feet, something like that, you know, four miles up.

But significantly as well, those bombs you're dropping in the bomber stream from 15, 20,000 feet exist.

Whereas when they're ordered for Chastises, there isn't even a weapon to do it.
