Summary

Today on the show we talk to Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dale and I go way back, but I feel like our talk today brought me to a new level of really knowing Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dale opened up about his relationship with his father Dale Earnhardt. The way Dale Jr talks about his Dad is so honest and so sharing. We can all learn a lot from the way he looks back on his relationship, with acceptance, and understanding. The upbringing Dale Jr had was not easy, from growing up very poor, losing his home to a fire, being handed to his Dad, because his Mom could not cope. When he went to live with his Dad, is when he knew he wanted to be a driver. Dale Jr’s father was not easy to impress, no matter how Dale Jr. tried. The quest to impress Dale Sr. may have been what pushed Dale Jr. to become the legend that he is. Dale Jr. shares with us some of the greatest family stories that are compelling, sad, funny, and really shaped the man Dale Earnhardt Jr. is today.
