Hello, Bridgetown Church.

And those of you joining us online, my name is Bethany Allen.

And this is the Bridgetown Daily for Thursday, January 21.

This week, a miracle happened.

Truly, I'm not exaggerating.

It's a long story, but I was scheduled for jury duty

on a week where I actually couldn't be on a jury.

Now, I would normally love the opportunity,

but the timing of this summons was literally impossible.

And I had to do it because I had already

deferred three times.

Fun fact, that's a thing.

Honestly, I really had no hope of the situation

changing and recognized that this was small in comparison

to most of the things happening in the world.

But regardless, I did do what any self-respecting pastor would.

And I had everyone I know, the most spiritual among us, pray.

Yes, I asked the elders, our pastors, and my community

to pray for God to make a way in this and pray they did.

To be honest, I don't really know why God decided

to do something, but he did.

And not only did I get released from jury duty,
