for the New Testament Christian today of facing our biggest giants last would be death.

Death.

If no other enemy, then certainly the enemy of death.

That Jesus, the better and ultimate Joshua, Joshua is the type of Christ, Jesus, Yeshua,

he is the one who faces even death last. It is his final enemy to utterly defeat. The sting of

death, for the record, has already been conquered. Jesus defeated the sting of death through

his death and resurrection.

But death in every sense, literal death, will be finally and utterly defeated by Christ upon his return.

But it is, as 1st Corinthians 15 says, the last of his enemies to be defeated.

And for us, in this gospel age, it is the last of all enemies to be defeated. And for us, in this gospel age,

it is the last of all enemies to be faced.

That we will have many temptations and trials

and tribulations, challenges, and difficulties

progressively throughout the course of our Christian lives

in the process of sanctification

leading up to the final trial, which is death. And even that is a mercy from the Lord. It is a

mercy that we don't enter into the Christian life and first have to face death. But that many of us, not whole,
