You're listening to Daily Truth. Now, there is no such thing as a carnal Christian in the sense of someone who claims to be justified

who has no fruit of sanctification. No fruit of sanctification. So if we mean there is no such thing

as a carnal Christian and a carnal Christian is defined as one who has not been sanctified at all,

then yes and amen a thousand times.

Unfortunately, I do believe that there are some good brothers,

who I respect in many ways,

who would throw in that carnal Christian term to mean that,

well, in such a general way that it would sweep under its rug, as it were, weak Christians,

smoldering wicks, bruised reeds, people who really are justified, and actually, because they're

justified, really are sanctified, but just slower. Sanctified in a real objective sense,

but just in one area and not the one that you say is the most important.

Do you know that that's one of the greatest temptations, I believe, one of the greatest temptations of Christians,

and especially those in positions of spiritual authority, namely pastors, such as myself, is to say that this area of sanctification trumps all other areas of sanctification.

That what we do is it's not so much that we discard the scripture.
