Jesus said, man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of

God. You're listening to Daily Truth. If we were to take all the qualifications for elders

that we find in 1st Timothy chapter 3 verses 1 through 7 and we were to sum them up in one concept it would be

spiritual matured an elder must be mature and the Lord he must be spiritually mature the only thing

that we could perhaps add to that is that he must not only be spiritually mature, but he must also be

competent. If we were to say, if there were two parts, perhaps, for leaders in the church of God,

we would say that there is character and there is competency. Character and competency. Now, I believe that in

some regard,

competency actually does flow from character.

That if a man or a woman is spiritually mature,

you do not come by spiritual maturity,

apart from deep, real knowledge from the Word of God.

It's like what I say in the beginning of every single one of my

sermons. We don't love with our hearts, that which we do not know with our mind. So I just want to,

I want to burst that bubble. I want to completely dismantle that myth that has grown so powerful

in the evangelical church today that somehow Christians could

come into spiritual maturity apart from doctrine. False. So if someone truly is spiritually mature
