0:56.6	God will ultimately judge that nation. Now, God is slow in his judgments because he is long
1:02.9	suffering. He is slow to anger. The character and nature of God includes incredible patience.
1:15.0	But this is not because God is lax. This is not because God has lowered the bar. This is only because God is kind and because God is long suffering. But nations
1:22.3	today will be exalted when they fear the Lord and they will be eventually, it may take decades, it may
1:29.6	take centuries, but eventually they will be decimated if they rebel against the Lord.
1:35.1	So now there's some verses that I want us to look at. This is Jeremiah. Now notice,
1:39.3	the reason I'm using this is because I want us to see that Jeremiah chapter 18 versus 6 through 11 is not speaking
1:47.1	exclusively of one nation under the old covenant, namely Israel, but rather it's giving a pattern,
1:54.0	a framework, a grid that applies to any nation, not just Israel under the old covenant, but any
2:00.5	nation, and not just before Christ,
2:02.9	but even after Christ in this New Testament age as well. Jeremiah chapter 18, verse 6 through 11,
2:09.8	it says this, behold, like the clay in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, oh house of
2:16.7	Israel. He's speaking to Israel in that instance.
