There's a way that you can live that will change you so profoundly that those closest to you won't even recognize you. In fact,

you won't even recognize yourself. I want to talk to you about dying daily. Paul wrote that he

died daily. I want to talk to you about daily surrendering to the Holy Spirit. In Genesis chapter 5,

verses 23 and 24, the scripture says this, and all the days of Enoch were 360 and 5 years. It's a long time to live.

And Enoch walked with God and he was not, for God took him.

Now, when I first read this, I was fascinated by the idea that some would could walk with God in such a way that they simply were not.

And as I read those words that Enoch walked with God and he was not, I said within myself,

Lord, I want to be a was not too.

I want to be an empty space through which heaven can touch and influence earth.

I want to be a yielded vessel to God. So I want you to make that

your prayer too. Make me a was not. Let that be your desire. And this really is about daily surrender.

So what is surrender to the Holy Spirit? Well, it's not just an emotion. Because sometimes I think that when we talk about

surrender, we think that we're talking about feeling like serving God every day. But here's the reality.

Your feelings will not always match up with what you know you ought to do. And so surrender is

simply daily obedience to God

through submission to His Word.

And you have to listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit.

You have to study to show yourself approved.

You have to hear the voice of God

through that more sure word of prophecy,
