Drama in the house of representatives as the speaker ship of Kevin McCarthy is potentially in

danger. Uh, we will continue to update you throughout the course of the program as that plays

itself out. Uh, but there are a lot of different stories to discuss, but crime is right now on the

top of many people's minds, particularly crime in Washington DC and other cities where crime has

continued to skyrocket. Buck, um, I'm reading from Lucas Tomlinson's report that he put out earlier

this morning, uh, Lucas Tomlinson is a Fox News correspondent. He said in Washington DC,

the average murder suspect has 11 prior arrests that is according to police. Violent crime is up

38% this year over last year in DC. By the way, Buck and I will be in DC in two weeks for multiple

days as a part of our new affiliate. I believe is it 104.7 that you can listen to us and many of you

are listening right now all over the Washington DC area. Um, I will hopefully safe. I'll be a

personal security detail. Hopefully, hopefully we will be safe. I went to college there. Buck has

lived in DC 38% increase in crime and a lot of attention as, uh, Muriel Bowser, who is DC's mayor,

says DC, how much short do you think they are of how many cops buck they need to be able to run

effectively, uh, the police presence in Washington DC? I'm sure there are short hundreds.

400, she says. Remember DC was one of the capitals of the defund the police movement. Well,

now they're saying, uh, look, we got a lot of policies. It turns out that makes it hard to hire

police officers. You've got a Democrat congressman who was carjacked, uh, and outside of an

apartment building that is very, uh, popular with Congress people to be staying there when they're

traveling for work. But listen to a DC mayor, Muriel Bowser say, yeah, we're 400 cops short and

we're having difficulty recruiting them because of the policies we put in place. We need more
