Today is Thursday. It is the 15th day of December. Good morning, Kathy.

Good morning in the news this morning. A storm has been blasting

its way across the nation, producing everything from blizzard conditions in the Dakota's to

tornadoes in Texas, and today it's our turn to deal with the storm. The storm is expected to

bring heavy rain, a wintry mix, and gusty winds to our area, even accumulating snowfall in some

counties. That in a winter storm watch has been

issued for Carbon and Monroe County's Thursday morning through Friday morning for snow and ice.

Precipitation will likely arrive in time for the morning commute, so right around now,

and this is to the south and then likely by 8 a.m. in the city. Temperatures are near freezing,

so there is a concern about freezing rain and

slippery conditions across the entire area this morning.

They bombed our parking lot, did you see all the stuff they put down?

Yeah, I got stuck behind the truck on Belmont, so it was like, you know.

By precaution?

What I didn't realize is, so when I got here, they were still, they were just wrapping up the salting of the parking lot.

And they had like, it's almost like a golf cart type of thing with the salt machine on the back of it.

Yeah, it's a small one.

Like I normally see larger trucks.

It was kind of cool.

We've never been allowed to ride that. It was so cute. I've seen that before. I think it's just the company that we use and that's how they do it. We have a huge storage area behind the building here where they keep a lot of the salt. I mean, it's a staging area. I think they rent it out to the state. Oh, really? Yeah. Is that right?
