Good morning in the news this morning. One police officer was killed and two others were wounded and five people are dead.

This happened inside of a grocery store following a wild shootout and standoff in Jersey City yesterday afternoon.

The slain officer identified as 40-year-old Detective Joseph Seals was a 13-year veteran, husband and father of five.

Authorities say the incident started at Bayview Cemetery just afternoon with seals fatally shot and his second officer wounded in the shoulder and was

possibly related to a drug or gun deal gone bad. They say the two men dressed in black, then

fled in a stolen U-Haul and continued firing at responding officers. Police retreated and

took up defense positions and hundreds of officers, SWAT units,

the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and firearms, and explosives descended on the scene. The massive

response included resources from neighboring municipalities as well as the FBI. Officials say the

two suspects were neutralized and a robot was sent inside the store with officers following behind.

There they found the bodies of who they believed were three civilians and two suspects.

Police said that they were confident the by bystanders were shot by the gunmen and not police.

All Jersey City schools were placed in lockdown, which lasted for several hours, as was the New Jersey City University.

There was a story yesterday of an Uber driver, which just happened to be dropping off in that area and found himself in the middle of that shootout. Wow. Yeah, there was a woman that was held up in a car for like hours and we saw when they rushed her out of there and got her into the back of a police van. It was pretty wild. And the audio of the gunfire, it's like a war zone.

It sounds like it's a movie.

They said it was heavy gunfire for over an hour.

Officials said that all of the city's 30,000 students in 43 schools were safe and accounted for despite having to listen to gunfire for hours.

The Secret Service is warning about fake $100 bills as the holiday season gets into full swing.

Those who have seen them say the bogus $100 bills look very real.
