Good morning. In the news this morning, the Philadelphia International Airport is ready for its busiest travel days in two years since the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the economy lot shut down, officials are urging people to not drive themselves to their flights.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the garage was 76% capacity.

The airport shut down the economy lot in March of 2020, eliminating 7,000 parking spots

as travel plummeted during the pandemic. Now, however, people are traveling again. American Airlines

says it's back up with 92% of its pre-pandemic travel schedule and PHL expects nearly 900,000

travelers this week. Four travelers who do have to drive to the airport, they say plan ahead.

At least two off-site parking lots are closed.

However, the airport does have a parking tab on its website that advertises open and lists

how many spaces are available in these lots.

Wally Park, a parking lot about a half a mile from the airport, offers a shuttle to customers.

But the general manager says that you should call a few hours ahead to see if they have spots available. Is Wally parked the one with the moose at the front of it? He'll tell you where to park. Wait, real quick, you know who I just found out does that voice? Who? Harold Ramis. The voice of the moose. I just, I read this because they were talking about Ghostbusters or whatever. Yes, Harold Ramis did that voice. I had no idea. Anyway, sorry, Kathy. Is he credited in the... No, completely uncredited, and it was because he's buddies with Chevy Chase, and so he's uncredited voice of the Moose outside of Wallet World. Who's the Moose is moose we know. Marty Moose, come on. I remember the scene. I just don't remember the exact words. It's sacrilegious. With parking at a premium, the cost is rising too. Wally Park says it will be between $20 to $30 a day to use its lot more than double what it was before the pandemic.

So $20 to $30 a day, like that's what you used to be able to pay to park at the airport.

Now you're parking off-site and paying even more than you did at the airport. So we're talking about this.

I'm wondering how everything's going to shake out eventually and whether there will be like maybe the creation the creation of offsite like lift lots that are

like you know three miles or four miles away because you're pointing out preston if you're coming from

where you are and you lift her uber to the airport that's a chunk of change yep you know but if you

go park and then and then sort of make it economically feasible because they're's not coming back. They're not bringing that lot back. No. They're really making this difficult. Yeah. I don't like this at all. And there's millions more people traveling this Thanksgiving. Bad COVID change. Yeah. Stop it. COVID changes is bad COVID. You know what you did. Yeah. The airport suggests that people drive.

Are they doing this at other airports or is it just ours?
