Good morning. In the news this morning, a man charged with raping a woman on a commuter train just outside of Philadelphia harassed her for more than 40 minutes while multiple people held up their phones to seemingly record the assault without intervening, authorities said. More than two dozen train stops passed as the man harassed, groped and eventually raped the woman. The police chief for SEPTA said at a news conference on Monday,

police do not believe that a single witness on the train dialed 911. They are investigating whether some bystanders filmed the assault. So she was raped while people were watching?

So she was, he was harassing her on the train. And then when they got off at the stop,

when police went and eventually intervened,

he was on top of her.

Oh my God.

Yeah.

Awful.

We talked about, you know, there have been a progression of stories over the years

when we become this, you know, this through the camera, through the phone sort of society.

I remember there was the woman who is threatening suicide and the other, the spectator was like kind of doing a, up on the ledge. And she was like pointing the camera and getting a selfie with the person. And it's like, you know, at a certain point, put down the damn thing and intercede. Yeah. And it's, it's a weird situation on do I insert myself into this situation?

If you have other people, if you've got support and you've got numbers and that's, I guess,

kind of what you maybe have to take it upon yourself to look around and go, we should all do

something about this.

Maybe I can't do it by myself, but we should all get involved in this right now.

No, you're right.

It's hard.

We all hear the story, but we don't know what it was like.
