Good morning in the news this morning. A security officer was shot while working at Philadelphia's South Street Festival on Saturday night. It happened at 11 p.m. near 7th and South Streets.

Investigators say a woman riding in an open-air slingshot vehicle got into an argument with another woman working as a vendor at the festival.

They then engaged in a physical altercation. Security officers were able to successfully break up the fight.

When the woman got back into the

slingshot vehicle, the driver, a man wearing a mask and dark clothing, opened fire, striking one of the security officers two times.

The 40-year-old security officer was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Police say the altercation stemmed from a group of dirt bikes, ATVs, and open-air vehicle operators

removing barricades that were in place for the event while the workers were closing

for the night. Several bikes and ATVs were seen fleeing the scene. No arrests have been made.

Were these the same ones that surrounded police officers yesterday? I'm sorry, was this yesterday

last night? This happened. No, are you talking about the one at Willow Grove Mall?

No, there was one at Willow Grove. There was like an unscheduled social media.

All these souped up cars got together.

I don't know if you have that coming up. Okay.

No, the one I saw was a report from Joe Holden from CBS had reported that in Philadelphia, these ATVs and dirt bikes surrounded a, you know, police barricade and started smashing the police. That's not good. It's not. And like, here's the deal. Like, you kind of went like unscathed for a little while. You know, you did your thing. But once you start, like, surrounding cops and smashing windows, like, well, now you're bringing the heat on. It's in general, illegal, right? Oh, yeah. There's a full moratorium placed on it, yet they're still out and about. Three people were injured in a crash early Sunday morning that police say was connected to an unauthorized car rally at Willow Grove Park Mall. Abington Township Police say between 150 and 200 vehicles arrived to the rally in the mall's

first level parking lot at 1234 a.m.

Police say some of the attendees were driving recklessly, revving engines, and skidding tires.

When officers responded to the area, the participants fled, police say, with many of them

fleeing down 611 in both northbound and southbound lanes.
