Good morning in the news this morning. You heard all of those roads in Jersey being affected.

Tropical storm Michael pounded the Jersey shore with heavy rain and flooding Thursday night.

In Wildwood, the conditions were treacherished enough that the George Redding Bridge was closed for a few hours to traffic but was reopened early Friday morning.

Hudson Avenue had major street flooding early Friday morning.

The floodwaters were beginning to recede.

Officials at the Jersey Shore were concerned about flash flooding due to the heavy

nonstop rain that they received.

You guys didn't get hit with anything?

It was just standard rain.

Heavy rain.

Heavy rain.

Some wind is what I got.

I was anticipating a lot more.

Well, I didn't know it was as bad as it was until, you know, I left for work this

morning and there were like branches and like a, yeah, I saw some debris in the road. Yeah,

but yesterday, I mean, the sun came out at some point too. I was like, I thought we were going to be

raining all day here. Right. Yeah. On Thursday evening, the rain was coming down three inches

an hour on the Atlantic City Expressway.

Officials were expecting a lot more of that in the overnight hours.
