In the news this morning, police are investigating an alleged road rage incident that ended in a stabbing in northeast Philadelphia Wednesday night.

Police said the incident began about 7 o'clock in the 300 block of Leveck Street where an off-duty officer witnessed the crime in progress.

He saw a female get out of the vehicle, then opened the door of a Chrysler 300 and began stabbing the female driver, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Small said that the off-duty officer managed to wrestle a 10-inch butcher knife from the woman, assailant, but she then jumped in her car

and drove off. The off-duty officer called police with a description of the car and tag number. Other

officers soon spotted the car, which they said struck another vehicle as the woman tried to make her escape.

When she finally exited the vehicle, she had another knife in her hand and police officers had to use a taser to get her to drop the knife.

Police apprehended the female suspect at Somerdale and the boulevard.

Police said the 33-year-old victim was stabbed in the face, shoulder, and back, as well as both hands. She's in stable condition at Einstein Medical Center. Police said when they searched the suspect's vehicle, they found a third knife. Officials said... Jesus. Yeah, I know. Are they sure that this was like straight up, road rage, not something else where... They're calling it, road rage. Okay. Maybe she knew her and... What do you think that?

Well, you know, they always say like knives, crime and passion.

I just, I mean, that's really, that's really, really intense for a road raid.

Yeah, I know.

She might be very passionate about traffic.

Yeah.

I watched a road rage incident.

It happened.

Two guys got out of their car right in front of the Metroplex over the weekend. And they were, I mean, like one, they just both looked like they wanted the other one to throw the first punch. They both had their face. I mean, I think their noses were touching. They were both big guys. One was a little bit shorter, but, you know, stocky, muscular. and I was like, oh my God.
