Good morning in the news this morning.

Police say a gunman was lying in wait before shooting two men,

killing one of them at a tow yard in southwest Philadelphia.

Happened about 630 yesterday when two men ages 44 and 50 were talking in a lot in a private company that stores towed cars on the 900 block of South 52nd Street.

Authorities say it was a hangout spot for the two. Police say that's when suddenly a gunman appeared and fired off a number of shots striking the 44-year-old once in the face and multiple times in the chest. He was pronounced dead at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. The 50-year-old was shot in the leg and was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Investigators say it's likely the gunman knew the victims. The one man owned the tow company and the other drives for the tow, the drives the tow trucks.

Police say the gunmen may have fled on foot. There are several businesses' homes and a church not

far from the scene. Police are trying to locate any surveillance camera video. There is no, no motive,

and no weapon was recovered. A Latin teacher at Abington Senior High School has been arrested

after being accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a student. Fifty- 55-year-old Thomas Kumar of Willow Grove is facing five felony

charges, including corruption of minors' unlawful contact with a minor, photographing, filming,

or depicting a sexual act on a computer, endangering the welfare of a child and institutional

sexual assault of a minor. Comer was arraigned on Monday morning. He's being held with $250,000 cash bail.

The offense allegedly happened while the two were part of a field trip in Italy

over the summer investigators say.

Kumer was a chaperone on that trip.

Police say there are 290 pages worth of messages between the two that were romantic in nature.

Compromising photos of the minor were found in the evidence as well, authorities say.

Police release some of the alleged text messages in an affidavit of probable cause. One reads, I think you should move in with me and I miss you, I love you. Another reads, I always have two emergency tickets to the Caribbean. I want to be on a plane with you. Whommer apparently became concerned. He had not heard from the girl over the last several days. He reestablished contact with her on Sunday. Hearing police were investigating. He allegedly asked the teen if officers had a search warrant and wanted to know if she had deleted earlier text messages. The affidavit suggests a growing sense of panic. I think I should run now.
