Today is Wednesday, September 29th. Good morning, Kathy.

Good morning in the news this morning. A triple shooting left one woman dead and two others in critical condition in Strawberry Mansion.

It happened just before 2.30 this morning at the intersection of North 33rd in West Diamond Streets.

Police say a 24-year-old woman was shot twice and pronounced dead at the scene.

A 35-year-old woman who was shot five times and a 26-year-old woman who was shot three times remained hospitalized.

Police are investigating a second scene four blocks away on North 33rd in Monument Streets.

Investigators were holding cars at both scenes.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Like, what the hell?

While Halloween may be a month away, police are warning parents to take a good hard look at their child's candy.

Ben Salem Police reported that officers conducted a traffic stop earlier in September and confiscated

what looked like normal candy. However, the items that looked like sour patch candies, Cheetos,

and sweet tarts all contained THC.

Ben Salem Police said the suspect brought these snacks in from California and planned to sell them here in Pennsylvania.

Who knows where these things would have wound up, said Fred Heron, the Ben Salem Police Director of Public Safety.

People think they're funny. They're going to put them in Halloween bags and not realize that you could have a child now that could have a reaction to it.

Parents may have a hard time differentiating the fake ones from the real ones. Police advise parents to inspect their children's candy and look for anything that appears off.
